Rackham will be closed Saturday and Sunday, April 1st and 2nd, due to weather.

Rackham Golf Course will continue to stay OPEN FOR PLAY weather permitting. Golf carts will be available for use when course conditions allow. Call (248) 543-4040 for TEE TIMES and current daily course conditions. Walk-ins are welcome.

Rackham Golf Course was designed by legendary golf course architect Donald Ross, whose designs include Pinehurst #2, Inverness Club, and Oakland Hills. Rackham provides a challenging golf course for golfers of any level. The course has been named one of Donald Ross’ ten best public golf courses. It has been the home to 2 U.S Amateur Pub Links Championships and rated one of the Top 10 municipal golf courses in Michigan.

ABOUT THE COURSE

The Par 71 layout features well manicured fairways and undulating greens. The greens are protected by numerous bunkers which were renovated in 2007. Distance from the back tees is 6,555 yards. Middle tees are 6,253 yards. Forward tees are 5,413 yards. There is a chipping and putting green available for use before your round. Rackham is the top choice to play in Royal Oak, Madison Heights, Warren, Detroit and Windsor.

February is the time of year Michigan golf lovers start seeing a light at the end of the tunnel and know that, with the right kind of weather, golfing in March is possible and not that far off. At least 5 public courses built in 1923 in Michigan still open for play.
